Director: Adam Shell
Runtime: 01:24:00
Synopsis: Ignited by a deep desire to uncover the truths of happiness, filmmakers Adam Shell and Nicholas Kraft set out on a two year, 6,000 mile journey across America to find the happiest people in America and to track down the leading voices in the booming happiness industry.

This grassroots experiment began with one simple question: who's the happiest person you know? Through hundreds of referrals, the team assembled a diverse cast of Americans. They lived with their subjects, which allowed them to capture intimate moments through firsthand experiences. The journey took them to a hospital as a family struggles to save a dying loved one, through deserted streets in Detroit as two vigilante artists fought to save their city, into the heart of Cajun country where they were awarded the key to Breaux Bridge, Louisiana for their documentation of authentic Cajun culture, and to New York City where they presented their work to the United Nations DPI.

The myriad of people and experiences they documented during their travels are woven together to create a more robust and focused picture of happiness in America - one that goes beyond the New York Times best selling self-help books by taking an authentic and emotional examination of the lives and choices of hundreds of happy Americans.

These snapshots into the lives of a diverse cast of Americans is assembled within the adventures and struggles of the grassroots journey and the filmmaker's untiring quest for knowledge, clarification, and truth.
